Speed Signal Not Necessarily Good Also Good

Many modem internet users who think that a good signal should speed internet is also good. Actually this is a wrong assumption. At the present time, the speed of the internet is no longer defined as good signals obtained, the signal strength is not strong, but the quality of the signal is obtained. Many people are complaining because of slow internet speed when full 5 bar signal can eg. Many cases like this, full signals slow internet. To clarify why this was the case the first look at the following picture.

So speed is obtained and to the user it is influenced by several things, among others: speed modem (modem specification), the condition of BTS, Network ISP traffic density, traffic density and the internet server bandwidth conditions. Both the speed EVDO Rev A, EVDO Rev B, HSDPA, 3G and the like just an access network, no more than a modem to BTS, while tens of thousands of internet itself kilometers away. But that's the actual modem speed cultivated in order to speed up. The modem speed we named the DRC (Data Rate Control) >> Requested Requested DRC.

Understanding Signal Interference and DRC Requested

In data communications (LAN), the received signal that the user is actually a combination of the signals used for communication (carrier) and signal interference. Signal interference is a nuisance that can cause data communication signal error / defect. The stronger the signal interference, the higher the communication error data transmitted to the user. The high signal reduces interference will make the modem speed (DRC) to minimize the error rate.

Here's a simple illustration to explain what it is signal interference.
coverage sector BTS
The picture above is a picture of the transmitted signal of each BTS theoretically only. Pattern as shown above can happen if only to be in the empty plains or desert sand. If in other big cities because of the city's many large buildings that led to a greater level of signal interference due to signal reflection Reflected Ray. So it is likely there will be an irregular pattern, not the same as the picture above. Well, the picture above for an explanation as follows.

Figure 1 Each BTS transmits >> 3 pieces sector, known as PN (Pilot Number). Let's say the BTS transmits PN-A, PN and PN-B-C, the coverage of a sector often described in terms of six for ease in network engineering.

Figure 2 >> For more simple when seen from the picture above, the pattern of the transmit signal can not hexagons, each sector (PN) will intersect with another PN, surely it. Well, in this area the user will get a slice of fruit PN 2 or more, then the modem will select the strongest signal PN as a carrier, the other is the interference signal PN (bully).

Figure 3 >> There seems to be an area to get a signal with low interference and there are areas that get high interference. Signal Carrier Interference comparison and this is what is used to determine the DRC Requested modem (modem speed). Explanation of Figure 3 is as follows.

- Area 1 is the best area, with a strong signal and low interference or no interference at all, DRC / Speed obtained will be high.

- Area 2 is an area with a weak signal but low interference obtained, lets get a decent speed. But if the location is too far from the BTS speed obtained will be lower anyway and prone to interference from other base stations (neighbors).

- Area 3 is the area with a strong signal but also strong interference, in theory would speednya low / medium well. In this area you are likely to be, if the modem signals obtained full but speed is very slow, due to the high levels of interference.

Relation parameters that influence the speed, it simply can be described as follows.

So right now you already know why your internet speed slow when the full signal. Kemungkina you are in an area with high interference. In this area the modem will get 2 or more PN fruit. So to minimize the occurrence of more than 2 PN is then you are required to do the pointing modem in order to have only 1 PN. One way is to use a tool called QXDM and QPST that I mentioned a little earlier in the article. See also my article on what modems are already using Qualcomm chipset and can use QXDM.
