Are you looking for a new way to backup and flash things to your device? If so, XDA Senior Member cgollner may have what you’re looking for with his new app Flashify.
Flashify allows you to easily flash and backup your device from within Android. What’s more, it makes use of the Android intent system, allowing you to flash from anything that gives access to the file you wish to flash. For example, if you’re in your file manager of choice and
click your desired update.zip, you will be given the option to open and flash it with Flashify.
Flashify also keeps track of what you’ve flashed with a recently flashed list, enabling to easily switch between different tweaks and mods. The backup function is similarly feature rich, allowing you to backup and restore /boot and /recovery to your device’s storage or to Dropbox.
So far, the app has been tested and confirmed working with several devices, including the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and the Nexus 10. However just to be safe, it is always a good idea to have a full Nandroid backup in place before proceeding with any system-level modification—especially if you’re using an untested device.
